The full 10 minute version of Heroes and Villains.....note the subtle references to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue....(i.e. the United Airlines theme song....)

I couldn't find any info on this song, singer or band anywhere, so I figured I'd at least get it up on the internet to get the discussion started (nearly 40 years too late). Anybody have any info on this band or did they disappear a long time ago....

lex Fridman, I mean.
Lex Friedman brought me here
This song says you can do better, love the dark side of your past. You did some good things. Yes you did some bad things. But you ain’t all bad. Cheer up
Fucking great music!! Wow... I wish I knew, where you are looking on.. This eyes don't appear happy? More like thinking? I don't know.. Sorry for my bad English
Carol Kay is one of my favorite bass player
As a long time, musician, it blew me away that so many groups did not play on their albums. People put groups like the Monkees through hell even though it was known they were actors. The Byrds, beach boys, and too many groups to name were all recorded using the wrecking crew who until now got no recognition for their incredible talent and hard work.
This Little Light of Mine brought me here!
"sometimes we worked 5 minutes sometimes we worked 4 hours" ...simply incredible..4 entire hours of musical work...and these guys did that. From time to time. ... Im proud of them.
CAROL KAYE!
Great Skit
มันเสี่ยงเกินไปที่เราจะเดินไปหาให้เขายอม
Brian may have had the concept but it was the Wrecking Crew who brought that concept to life. They deserved more credit than they received
The book “Zami: A New Spelling of My Name” by Audre Lorde brought me here.
Wollis Paradies brought me here.
It’s because we’re not captains of industry 🤣
Chronic funkiness brought me here 🤩🫶🏽🪷🌈🦋☮️🍭💖💖💖
Janis Joplin, took me to Odetta🎤🎵
Came here because Harry Belafonte and Odetta sang a duet of a song I remembered from early 1970s Sesame Street.
Their regular portrayal of Canadian cops as complete morons should be amusing but it's actually just depressing in its accuracy. I'm surprised when she called to report the crime they didn't just tell her to call someone else or say not their jurisdiction either.
Really nice clip. Carol Kaye does not care for The Wrecking Crew name. Check her site out for all of that.
"My Gazebo is missing. There is a new Gazebo in your backyard that looks a lot like mine. Is that your Gazebo?"
Without a doubt, Kevin was the strangest "woman" of the group.
Everything you need to know about Brian is in this video. Brian never pats himself on the back and constantly praises the musicians. Meanwhile all the session players are constantly praising Brian. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in that studio.
i think a lot of the bands were just ok musicians and they would have to bring in the real pros to make the studio recordings come out perfect. i remember back then reading the credits on the back of the album covers but never thought a lot about it till now.
I love you BEN😂
What is the song? Sound kinda like soundgarden but not familiar with it.
I like George's look at 0:08 It's like he's already plotting something.
1:44 We dont have to stand here in our underwear and listen to this. 😅
Thumpin and pumpin!
"One little pick made this girl hundreds of thousands of dollars" - I like the combination of mockery and admiration in his tone : )
The comments seem to be a mix of the topics of Good Vibrations and Carol Kaye. The odd thing is, from what I can find out, none of the work she did for that song made it on to the released version.
She probably only played on the demo... I was never impressed with her.
said to be their favorite.
This could totally happen in Canada
Wrecking Crew was the Best thing that happened to The sixties, Beside the Beatles ♥️
Why does she start off singing really well then it deteriorates into some awful noise when she sings "ain't no boaoaoaoao"?
Lol trash singer.
The artist who created others success Brilliant talent ⭐️⭐️
“My partner is parking the car” - because Bruce McCulloch is already playing another character!
Good Vibrations....One of the greatest songs in history! Carol was the great bass genius! The Wrecking Crew were extraordinary! Thanks for the memories!
WHY didn't they BUG the Beach Boys and say, "Hey you guys don't play your own instruments!" Liked eveyrone BUGGEd the Monkees! The Monkees DID play, unlike the Mamas and The Papas, Beach Boys and manyof the BEatles albums! SO THERE!
On their first 6-7 albums (1962-64) they pretty much played everything. On the Today album in 1965 they played on half of the songs. It was only on the Summer Days, Pet Sounds, and Smile/Smiley Smile that they used primarily Wrecking Crew. Then they went for a lo-fi vibe using a combo of them and studio musicians.
Just genius
The open university advertisement brought us here. Absolutely brilliant fantastic ✝️
A fat guy in a speedo brought me here ... loving every minute of it
Carol’ success was not the result of DEI. She got these gigs because she was good at playing. True diversity is what happens when merit contains people of different backgrounds or types. When you force the idea that people have to be diverse, you inevitably end up with less than the greatest merit. If you listened to top 40 radio in the 1960s for more than 15 minutes, you had heard at least one song that Carol had played on.
I just got colored album of the macking Of good vibrations its great wilson Starting talking to Carol kaye starting And stopping sounds great
Fantastic drummer mr russ kunkel
high desert brought me here ….. I’m so glad ….. so glad 🙏🙏🙏 ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦
What was the deal with her pick? Did she sell them? or was it just a joke about the pick she used for that song?
Are you supposed to wipe the tip of your penis with toiet paper after urination?
